3PL

Third-party Logistics Provider - a specialized firm that provides outsourced services to companies for part or sometimes all of their supply chain management function. Third party logistics providers typically specialize in integrated warehousing and transportation services that can be scaled and customized to customer’s needs based on market conditions and the demands and delivery service requirements for their products and materials.

ACC

Adaptive cruise control - system which can adjust the speed of the vehicle depending on traffic conditions and can automatically maintain a safe distance of the vehicle ahead of it.


ACS

Anti-collision system - a system designed to warning before the vehicles coming up from the opposite direction.
ADAS

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems – so called “intelligent systems” to active help the drivers in case of their tiredness, inattention or disregard important information to road safety.
Examples of such a system are:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Collision warning system
- Night Vision
- Adaptive Light Control
- Pedestrian Protection System
- Automatic parking
AHS

Automated Highway System - a research initiative which purpose is create special section of lanes on which appropriately adapted vehicles could travel without driver's control.
